DUring Vacation Travel Tips
Hydrate! Different climates, schedules, food and activity levels can quickly lead to dehydration. We know those all-inclusive resorts and their swim up bars are tempting, but try at least to drink 1-2 liters of water per day to keep your energy levels up.
RELAX! Your daily life is probably busy enough – you shouldn’t be rushing around on vacation. If you need to stick to a schedule, be sure to plan a couple hours of empty time each day just to relax.
Take care of your tummy! Changes in climate, food and schedule can take their toll on your body. Be sure to pack Probiotics to keep your immune system healthy and relieve digestive problems including traveler’s diarrhea. We swear by them.
Play it safe! Ever hear the term "don't drink the water"? Although most tourist friendly countries have safe enough filtered water, try to limit the amount of mixed drinks or drinks that are made with their water, such as frozen margaritas, daquiris, pina coladas, etc. You can still get Montezuma's revenge.
Sunscreen! Need we say more?
Protect yourself! Whether if it is before you leave or during travel, if someone around you is sneezing or coughing, turn your head away, or even protect yourself by covering your mouth and nose. This is especially critical in tight places such as airplanes, elevators and ground public transportation.
Use a (disinfectant) wipe to pat down your remote control, light switches and door knobs on your hotel room or cruise cabin, as these places are often filled with germs.
Exercise! Most hotels have fitness centers. Not a fitness buff? Going for nice long walks or a jog on the beach will do just fine. And what better way to do something you love that will benefit you than going for a sunrise or sunset stroll along a beautiful, powder soft beach along the ocean waves?
